President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey on a 2 Day Visit to Nigeria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to arrive in Nigeria on October 19 for a two-day state visit, according to the Presidency.

On Tuesday in Abuja, President Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, confirmed the news in a statement.

According to a presidential adviser, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be joined by First Lady Emine Erdogan when he arrives from Angola and departs for Togo at the conclusion of his visit.

About twenty bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) will be discussed by the presidents of the two nations during the visit, and those on which there is agreement will be authorized for signature.”

It was revealed that Erdogan would inaugurate the Turkish Cultural Centre in Abuja during his state visit, in addition to bilateral talks with President Buhari.

TIKA, a Turkish assistance organization, will commission the newly-renovated Government Secondary School, Wuse 11, with the help of Erdogan’s wife, Emine, and Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari.
