376 new confirmed cases and 35 deaths – NCDC

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations center (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.

On the 16th of October 2021, 376 new confirmed cases and 35 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

To date, 209173 cases have been confirmed, 197084 cases have been discharged and 2804 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 376 new cases are reported from 14 states- Lagos (215), Rivers (82), Ondo (16), Imo (14), Plateau (12), Kaduna (10), Kwara (9), Ekiti (4), Bauchi (3), Delta (3), Kano (3), Sokoto (3), Nasarawa (1), and Oyo (1).

Globally, as of 4:32 pm CEST, 15 October 2021, there have been 239,437,517 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 4,879,235 deaths, reported to WHO. As of 14 October 2021, a total of 6,495,672,032 vaccine doses have been administered.
